Weapons are one of the most important aspects of any video game, and Minecraft is not an exception to this rule. The game's weapon system is rather barebones - players only have a handful of gear to choose from, which can get boring after awhile.

This is where mods come in. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 6 best weapon mods to use in Minecraft 1.19.

1. Spartan Weaponry

Weapons Galore! Spartan Weaponry is a whole new arsenal of weapons made for Minecraft. Inspired by Balkon's WeaponMod, it adds new versions of weapons from that mod, as well as expanding the arsenal with a bunch of original weapons, including a variety of swords, polearms, and blunt and ranged weapons.

Spartan Weaponry features a lot of new weapons, each with its own ability.

Most of these weapons can be made from the five vanilla tool materials. Each of the weapons (with the exceptions of the Quarterstaff, Caestus, Longbow and Crossbow) has various weapon traits to give you different strategic options during combat. Below is a list of all 24 new weapons:

  • Bladed Weapons: Dagger, Longsword, Greatsword, Katana, Saber, Rapier, Battleaxe, Glaive
  • Blunt Weapons: Quarterstaff, Club, Battle Hammer, Warhammer, Cestus, Mace
  • Polearm Weapons: Spear, Halberd, Pike, Lance
  • Ranged Weapons: Longbow, Heavy Crossbow, Throwing Knife, Tomahawk, Javelin, Boomerang

2. Silent Gear

The mod focuses on tools, weapons, and armor (collectively called gear). Recipes are modular, down to each individual piece used in crafting. Possible combinations for each gear type are practically unlimited.

Silent Gear has a lot of customization.

Tools include pickaxe, shovel, axe, mattock (replaces hoe), prospector hammer (can search for ores), hammer (AOE pickaxe), excavator (AOE shovel), saw (formerly lumber axe), and sickle. Weapons include sword, dagger, katana, machete, bow, crossbow, slingshot

Basic "vanilla" materials are included in the mod. These include wood, stone, flint, netherrack, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, obsidian, and more. Two new ores, crimson iron (in the Nether) and azure silver (in the End). Crimson iron can be crafted into crimson steel and azure silver can be crafted into azure electrum.

3. MrCrayfish's Gun Mod

MrCrayfish's Gun Mod is a new and exciting weapon mod with a unique vision. Adding nine weapons, all can be highly customized to create your own unique variant. Using attachments and enchantments, you can increase the stats of a weapon to create an even more powerful version. Dyes can be used to change the color of any weapon and attachment. This mod also adds grenades and stun grenades!

MrCrayfish's Gun Mod adds a number of deadly ranged weapons.

Below are some of the most notable features of the mod:

  • Includes nine unique weapons: Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Bazooka, Mini Gun, Assault Rifle, Machine Pistol and Heavy Rifle!
  • Adds Attachments to customize your weapon. Add different types of scopes and stocks to your weapon, put a new grip under the barrel, or make your weapon quiet with a silencer!
  • Nine unique enchantments to create an even more powerful weapon!
  • An immersive experience with custom sounds and animations.
  • The ability to headshot any vanilla mob in the game.

4. MC Dungeons Weapons

Minecraft Dungeons is an ARPG based on the world of Minecraft. It has a unique and intensive weapon system, containing all kinds of weaponry that the original game does not have.

The best part about this mod is that there are so many unique weapons for players to pick from.

Have you ever wanted to have weapons from Minecraft Dungeons in your Minecraft world? Well, now that's possible! MC Dungeons Weapons (MCDW) aims to (eventually) bring all of these weapons, and more, from Minecraft Dungeons to Minecraft.

Right now, there are 150 weapons added to the game ranging from flails to katanas to crossbows and bows. They all have crafting recipes and they show up in REI, which isn't required, but is HIGHLY recommended.

5. Mythic Metals

Mythic Metals is a Minecraft mod all about finding new ores, smelting them into ingots and alloys, and turning them into your favorite tools and armor.

Maxresdefault 1
The new types of metal come with their own version of weapons.

The ores in this mod all cover their own slice of the underground. There are even some in The Nether and The End! After gathering enough ores you can smelt them, blast them, or forge them with an Alloy Forge, into pretty metals or unique alloys.

Swords stronger than netherite, a pickaxe that can blast through an obsidian wall, and armor that grows over time. This is some of the gear you can find and craft using the metals.

6. Hbm's Nuclear Tech Mod

Hbm's Nuclear Tech Mod is, as the name implies, all about technology, atomic science and nuclear weapons. It features an expansive tech tree of various processing and utility machines, craftable bombs and missiles, guns, and abandoned structures to explore. No longer are nukes just green TNT blocks - you will have to synthesize new types of explosives and enrich uranium before you can send nuclear missiles toward your pals.

Blowing up areas with your nuclear missiles.
