Earlier today, Ubisoft has revealed their upcoming games for the next-gen consoles - which will be released on the holiday season of 2020. The revelation was made during Ubisoft's earnings call, where CEO Yves Guillemot shared their plans to launch five new games in the Fiscal Year of 2021, and that their game will be available both on current-gen and next-gen consoles.

According to Ubisoft, those new titles that were in the making are Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods & Monsters. Along with that are two new titles that 'currently a secret and will be revealed at a later date'.

Watch Dogs: Legion will be a cross-gen release during the transition of PS4 and PS5

By the words of Guillemot, those new games will available both on current-gen (Xbox One, PS4) and next-gen consoles (Xbox Scarlett, PS5) and these new games will take full advantage of the next-gen consoles' powers. Thanks to this, players will be able to download games faster, play games with better FPS, as well as reduce loading time considerably. There will be a lot of perks playing Ubisoft's new games on the next-gen consoles.

Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods & Monsters were all revealed in 2019 during the E3 event, but just recently, Ubisoft has announced that those titles will have to be delayed until the Fiscal Year of 2021 so that the company can take their time into polishing the game - as well as to optimize the new titles so that they can take full advantage of the new consoles.

Of course, there is less than a year until we can see the reveal of PS5 and Xbox Scarlett - which are coming in 2020's holiday season. For this reason, we can fully expect a lot of cross-gen titles that going to be released in the next year. Back in a few years ago, when the PS4 first got released, the cross-gen titles that got released included Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, along with Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
