The Esports scene in India has been growing exponentially in the last few years, making it a lucrative ground for various tournaments. Yesterday, a new tournament has been announced! The Free Fire Esports Premier League (ESPL) appears as one of the top-tier Esports events. Its first season will start on June 16th, 2021, boasting a prize pool of INR 25 lakhs.

Esports Premier League Season 1

The new Esports tournament is held by Esports Premier League in collaboration with Garena and India Today Group. The event will surely garner a lot of attention from the community. Players can catch the tournament live streaming on OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar, YouTube, and Facebook channels of India Today and Aaj Tak, along with their websites.

The Esports Premier League Season 1 will start on June 16th, spanning over two and a half months. The top eight teams from the first two rounds will advance directly to the Grand Finale. They will be representing 8 major cities across the country, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Punjab, and Rajasthan. It's pretty similar to the format of Free Fire City Open.

Esports Premier League will be a virtual tournament in its inaugural edition, featuring more than 700 online matches and 300 plus hours of streaming.

The Hong Kong-based smartphone company Infinix Mobile is the title sponsor. Talking about the launch of Esports Premier League (ESPL) and its association with Infinix Mobile, India Today Group Vice Chairperson, Kalli Purie referred to it as a "thrilling experience to its users".

All Free Fire survivors in Indian can register to join the tournament. However, it's essential to note that the holders may prioritize famous teams or players with higher ranks to ensure the quality of Esports Premier League Season 1.
