The event, which is currently known as “Fortnite World Cup Warmup” will be host be none other than Epic Game on April 6th and 7th. As what the name states, this event will be the warmup for the grander event known as the Fortnite World Cup Online Tournaments, which will officially commence on the 13th of April.
Epic Games has officially announced that the Fortnite tournament will take place two days which are the 6th and 7th day of April. The prize for this event will be $500K, and as stated by Epic Games’ developers, will include a much broader prize distribution than that of those previous weeks.
The Semi-Finals of the Fortnite World Cup Warmup will begin on the first day which is April 6th. The event will be a three-hour window. And as mentioned above, this event will be the last online practice tournament before the qualifiers for the Fortnite World Cup get underway.
Fortnite is going to include a mode known as Arena. In Arena, players are granted a rank, and they have to thrive up by earning “Hype” points and level up to Champion League from Open League in other words, from Division One to Division Seven.
Any team of two or duo that has already leveled up to Division Six or Contender League in Arena will be qualified to enter the next round which is the Semi-Finals event. Afterward, the leading 1,500 duos of each region are going to advance into the Final Round of the Warmup Event on the 7th April.
The event will maintain players’ commitment until the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers on 13th April. According to Epic Games’ developers, each qualifying week will have an award of $1M in total, which will be handed out “broadly”.
New York is going to be the ground place for the Fortnite World Cup, and it will take place from 26th to 28th July with an award of $30M in total, which is said to be the biggest funded prize pool in the history of e-Sport.
