Free Fire has recently launched a new mode called Bomb Squad, which has its own ranked matchmaking system. It is played on a brand new map called El Pastelo and comes with various new features such as a new buy request system and random store system. As its gameplay is different, the mode requires a different character roster compared to the usual BR.
In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the 5 best characters to use in Free Fire Bomb Squad mode 2022.
1. Hayato Firebrand
Rushers are the best playstyle in a fast-paced mode like bomb squad. In this type of scenario, Hayato Firebrand's ability is perfect. The first component gives the user more damage by increasing armor penetration, and the second gives user damage reduction. Both these effects scale based on HP and are very useful in melee fights where both parties shoot at each other.
2. Leon
Leon's ability is a super versatile passive that regenerates HP without any limit whatsoever. The critical part about this skill is probably its levels - the heal amount increases greatly from level 1 to level 6. While 30HP is a very small amount, it stacks up over time in longer fights. The activation time seems to be 3 seconds. You only need to duck away from combat for a moment for Buzzer Beater to trigger.
This works fairly well in Bomb Squad mode where engagements are short and there are a lot of covers to get behind.
3. Homer
Homer is the new character of OB34 and the most broken character in Free Fire to date. His skill summons a drone that zips toward enemies in the 100-meter frontal range and creates a 5-meter pulse explosion. The explosion slows the movement speed of all enemies in the radius by 60% and their firing speed by 35%. On top of that, it also deals 25 damage. The slow effect last for 5 seconds and the ability has a 90 seconds cooldown at max level.
Overall, this skill is perfect for rusher builds and is very effective when enemies are sticking together at close range. Hence, Bomb Squad players should pick it for melee fights.
4. Clu
In normal BR mode, the map is so big that you probably won't be able to detect your foes even with Clu's ability. In Bomb Squad, on the other hand, the play area is restricted to a much smaller zone. Because of that, one cast of Clu's skill is enough to detect the location of all enemies on the map - and we all know the advantage of map-hacking.
Clu's recent buff makes the skill even better in Clash Squad. Its radius gets increased by a whopping 50%, to 75 meters.
5. Alok
However, after Chrono's nerf, it is expected that Alok has risen to the top once again and become the most used character. Alok's ability has not changed much since his debut. Drop the beat is a healing + speed aura that lasts for 10 seconds, which is very useful in combat. It is pretty much the go-to skill to pick in Bomb Squad if you don't have anything else.
