Not all weapons are created equal - some are much better than the other... and in a video game like Free Fire, this statement cannot be refuted. The least used weapon class in Free Fire besides pistol is probably the LMGs: M249 and M60.
In this article, we would list out everything you need to know about these two weapons. The Gatling can also be considered to be an LMG as well.
1 - About Light Machine Guns or LMG
While called Light Machine Guns, they are actually super heavy, both in real life and in game. The Gatling is the heaviest weapon in the game - it cuts down your movement speed to about 30% of the original.
While videogames usually have character armed with these kinds of guns and move around, it is actually super unrealistic, as both the weapon and ammo are way too heavy to carry. Usually, the M249, M60 and Gatling are all vehicle-mounted.

2 - M60
The M60 is the basic LMG in Free Fire - it has the stats of a basic Assault Rifle, with the only difference being its weight and high magazine sizes. Overall, it is a decent weapon and definitely worth using if you managed to get the bipod to go with it.
3 - M249
The airdrop-only M249 is an upgraded version of the M60 - all its stats are about the same, except for Magazine size and range. The M249 has a whopping 100 bullets in its magazine and 77 range - the equivalent of a sniper rifle. Overall, this is an overpowered weapon in the right hand - there is a reason that you can only get the M249 via airdrops.
4 - Gatling
The Gatling is just a special weapon that can be acquired in various arcade modes like Spray and Pray. The Gatling has the highest magazine size in the game, at 1200 - you can pretty much fire the whole match without running out.
