The long-awaited Genshin Impact 3.0 patch has finally come out, bringing a lot of new content including a whole new region and characters. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 5 most notable new features in Genshin Impact 3.0.

1. The new Sumeru region

Areas

Below are the new areas players need to explore when visiting Sumeru.

  • Ardravi Valley
  • Vanarana
  • Vissudha Field
  • Lokapala Jungle
  • Ashavan Forest
  • Avidya Forest

The Tree of Dreams in Sumeru has the same function as the Sacred Sakura in Inazuma. It uses Dendro Sigils, however.

Domains

Here are the new one-time domains players can explore in Sumeru:

  • Fragment of Childhood Dreams
  • The Coordinates of Sun and Rain
  • The Dark Valley
  • Under the Umbrella's Shade

The new repeatable domains of note are:

  • Spire of Solitary Enlightenment (Artifacts)
  • Steeple of Ignorance (Talent Level-Up Materials)
  • Tower of Abject Pride (Weapon Ascension Materials)

2. New Characters

The new Dendro characters are going to bring a number of brand-new elemental reactions for players to try out.

  • Tighnari: 5-star Dendro Bow
  • Collei: 4-star Dendro Bow
  • Dori: 4-star Electro Claymore

The first half is going to be Tighnari and Zhongli while the second half is Ganyu and Kokomi.

3. New Weapons and Artifacts

Weapons

Hunter's Path, Tighnari's bow, is the first weapon in Epitome Invocation. That passive ability is made for Tighnari and he will probably be the only one to get its full potential since he fires 5 charged attacks in 1 charged attack (Tighnari's bow increase every single instance of charged attack damage).

Tighnari Hunter Path

End of the Line is a new 4-star Bow that is available from Sumeru's Fishing Association.

Additionally, players can craft up to five new Sumeru-themed weapons, which have great synergy with Dendro characters:

  • Forest Regalia (Claymore)
  • Fruit of Fulfillment (Catalyst)
  • King's Squire (Bow)
  • Moonpiercer (Polearm)
  • Sapwood Blade (Sword)

Artifacts

These two new artifacts come from the previously mentioned Spire of Solitary Enlightenment Domain.

Sumeru Artifact

Deepwood Memories

  • 2-Piece: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.
  • 4-Piece: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.

Gilded Dreams

  • 2-Piece: Elemental Mastery +80.
  • 4-Piece: Within 8s of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each party member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and Elemental Mastery is increased by 50 for every party member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the aforementioned buffs will count up to 3 characters. This effect can be triggered once every 8s. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field.

4. New element

Dendro Elemental Resonance: Sprawling Greenery

Elemental Mastery increased by 50. After triggering Burning, Quicken, or Bloom reactions, all nearby party members gain 30 Elemental Mastery for 6s. After triggering Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, all nearby party members gain 20 Elemental Mastery for 6s. The durations of the aforementioned effects will be counted independently.

This resonance is perfect for the Dendro characters' playstyle, which revolves around triggering reactions. Players can field the free Collei alongside the Dendro Traveler to trigger it if they don't plan on pulling for Tighnari.

Dendro Elemental Reactions

Quicken (Dendro + Electro): Applies a Quicken aura.

  • Aggravate: Triggered when applying Electro to an entity with the Quicken aura. Adds Flat DMG Bonus to the attack that triggers this reaction.
  • Spread: Triggered when applying Dendro to an entity with the Quicken aura. Adds Flat DMG Bonus to the attack that triggers this reaction.

Bloom (Dendro + Hydro): Creates a Dendro Core that explodes after 6 seconds, dealing AoE Dendro DMG.

  • Hyperbloom: Triggered when applying Electro to a Dendro Core. Transforms the Dendro Core into a homing Sprawling Shot that deals increased AoE Dendro DMG in a much smaller AoE.
  • Burgeon: Triggered when applying Pyro to a Dendro Core. Detonates the Dendro Core immediately, dealing increased AoE Dendro DMG.

Burning (Dendro + Pyro): Deals AoE Pyro DoT and applies Pyro.

Hydro + Electro Resonance changes

Hydro's Elemental Resonance has been changed to:

"Affected by Pyro for 40% less time. Increases Max HP by 25%."

Electro's Elemental Resonance has been changed to:

"Affected by Hydro for 40% less time. Superconduct, Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Quicken, Aggravate, or Hyperbloom have a 100% chance to generate an Electro Elemental Particle (CD: 5s)."

5. New events & quest

The following events have been confirmed to be part of this update:

  • Graven Innocence
  • Fayz Trials
  • Lost Riches
  • Ley Line Overflow
  • Tablet Analytics

The patch notes reveal that Collei and a Crown of Insight are available in the Graven Innocence event.

Predictably, a new region means that there is a fresh Archon Quest for players to do. Genshin Impact 3.0 will introduce two new acts into Chapter III of the Archon Quest series:
