Minecraft's biggest update this year, the Wild Update 1.19, has finally been released. Players can now explore the new Deep Dark biome, Mangrove swamp, and more. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase how to download Minecraft 1.19 update.

How to install Minecraft Bedrock 1.19

Mobile (Android/iOS)

For mobile players, the process is fairly straightforward. You just need to navigate to the app store (Apple App Store for iOS/Google Play Store for Android) and access the "update" section. Find Minecraft and initiate the update. Additionally, Mobile players can also download Minecraft APK files from other third-party sources.

Alternatively, players can search for the game page inside the store itself and press the "update" button there. However, if for some reason these options are not available, players might want to reinstall the game. The device would automatically acquire the newest update.

Console (Xbox/PlayStation/Switch)

The progress of updating in Console is more or less the same as the mobile apps. However, unlike the mobile apps where one can still play without updating, console players would be prompted to update the game automatically when launching it.

However, if this doesn't happen, players can manually install the update by navigating to the respective game store on their console and downloading the game from Minecraft's store page.

PC

Similar to the console systems, PC bedrock players should get an automatic update prompt when they launch. However, if this automatic update does not happen or fails, just uninstall the game and redownload the launcher from the Microsoft Store or Mojang's website.

How to install Minecraft Java 1.19

As Java and Bedrock share the same launcher on PC, the process should be identical. If you don't want to redownload, restarting the launcher might also work.

By going to the Mojang official website, players can also download the update files themselves. This is useful if one wants to update manually and instead of relying on automated processes.

What are the most notable changes in Minecraft 1.19?

Mangrove Swamp

The Mangrove Swamp biome has finally been revealed in the Minecraft snapshot 22w14a. It is one of the two new biomes in the 1.19 update, alongside the Deep Dark. The mangrove swamp is a dense, mud-filled landscape that's filled to the brim with mangrove trees and mud blocks.

The mangrove is a special type of tree that only grows in a flooded, muddy environment. Due to the root blocks coming out of the main body to touch the ground, the mangroves jungle looks super dense. The main inhabitant of this biome are frogs, a brand new type of mob that changes color based on the biome's temperature.

Deep Dark Biome + Ancient City

The Ancient City is a new structure-based biome that generates within the Deep Dark, with different levels and open spaces. It includes all of the Deep Dark features within it, alongside a few unique things of its own. The city is mostly made of deepslate and its variants, basalt blocks and its variants, planks, and wool.

Deep Dark City contains a lot of terrifying things.

The most valuable part of the biome is probably the Deek Dark chests which contain unique loot. They are items that cannot be found anywhere else, which provide unique abilities and mechanics to players that weren't possible before and are not attainable by other methods.
