Mobs in Minecraft can deal a surprisingly high amount of damage to players, and some of them can even instantly kill outright. However, it can be a surprise to know that neither of the final bosses in Minecraft is that dangerous. In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the 5 mobs with the highest damage in Minecraft.
1. Charged Creepers
- Damage: 85 (Normal)
When struck by lightning, a creeper becomes charged, which amplifies its explosion power and enables mob heads to be obtained. A charged creeper explosion has the same explosive power and damage as an end crystal explosion, however, they are much easier to create.
Players can manually create them by using tridents with channeling or lightning rods.
2. Warden
- Damage: 30 (Normal)
The Warden, added to Minecraft as part of the 1.18 snapshots, is the mob with the highest HP to date. It has a whopping 250 hearts (500HP), on top of dealing the highest damage amongst all mobs in the game. At hard difficulty, one hit from the warden would remove 22.5 hearts from the player, which is already more than the max HP of 20.
Unlike the boss mobs, multiple wardens can spawn and attack the player, which increases the difficulty even higher. The worst part is that wardens do not drop anything, which means grinding through its 500HP pool is pointless.
These explosions destroy even obsidians. This is the only mob that can destroy this block in Minecraft.
3. Ghasts
Damage: 18 (Normal)
Ghasts are large white floating ghost-like hostile mobs in the Nether that shoots explosive fireballs at the player. They are amongst the most annoying mob in the game, with their combination of flying and a ranged attack. They drop ghast tears and gunpowder, which are high tier ingredients for brewing and crafting.
Players can create a ghast farm in the soul sand valley to farm ghast tear and gunpowder.
4. Piglin Brute
- Damage: 13 (Normal)
A piglin brute is a hostile and stronger variant of piglins that appears in all types of bastion remnants. They always attack the player. They do not barter, they do not retreat, and they cannot be distracted by gold. Furthermore, they like to attack in groups so you can get outnumbered easily and get killed in seconds.
5. Vindicator
- Damage: 13 (Normal)
A vindicator is an illager equipped with an iron axe. They usually appear in woodland mansions and participate in raids. While Vindicators can deal the same damage as a Piglin brute, they sometimes spawn unarmed.
In woodland mansions, they usually spawn in groups of 1–3 inside particular rooms, sometimes accompanied by an evoker. Fighting them is highly dangerous, especially for unprepared players. Vindicators can also spawn during raids and even ride a ravager in higher difficulties.
