Unlike other shooters in which developers have to balance their arsenal so that no weapon is too strong, in GTA Online, money makes right. The one who has the bigger, more expensive gun, would be holding all the advantages in combat. In this article, we are going to list out the top 5 most expensive weapons in GTA Online.

The Orbital Cannon won't be part of this list, as it is more of a building than an actual weapon.

5 - Combat Shotgun

Price: $295,000

The Combat Shotgun is a secret weapon added to GTA Online with the 1.52 Cayo Perico Heist Update. It can be obtained during the heist finale. You have to play the Cayo Perico Heist then come back to the nearest Ammu-Nation to unlock it. This weapon can be further modified as well.

In combat, the Combat Shotgun is a guaranteed one-shot kill in melee range, with each hit having the power of a rocket. It is pretty weird that Rockstar took so much time before adding this gun, as it is a staple in Vice City, San Andreas and GTA 4.

4 - Military Rifle

Price: $397,500

Another new weapon that was just added into the game as part of the Cayo Perico update last year. The design of the Military Rifle is based on a real-life Steyr AUG A3. It can be purchased from Ammu-nation normally without having to unlock anything. It can be further customized in the same shop.

Unlike the Combat Shotgun, the Military Rifle falls within the middle ground of its class. While it has above average damage and fire rate, its accuracy is decreased and its recoil is fairly high.

3 - Up-n-Atomizer

Price: $399,000

This gun was given away for free a couple of years ago... but now you have to buy it in the shop for $399,000. The Up-n-Atomizer is a unique Raygun that doesn't use normal bullets. Its ammo automatically recharges after 2 seconds.

This is more of a griefing gun than anything else. The Up-n-Atomizer fires an energy pulse that knocks down the first object it hits, no matter the size. Due to the low damage, it would take a few shots to take down an enemy, but they won't be able to respond at all.

2 - Unholy Hellbringer

Price: $449,000

The Unholy Hellbringer is a Machine Guns Weapon featured in GTA Online, added to the game as part of the 1.46 Arena War update on January 8, 2019. Similar to the Up-n-Atomizer, the Unholy Hellbringer is an alien plasma rifle. It has three barrels, a drum-shaped ammo magazine, and a small stock.

There appear to be three alien head symbols on the side, likely representing kill counts. This weapon can't be customized.

1 - Widowmaker

Price: $449,000

The Widowmaker was added in the same patch as the Unholy Hellbringer. It is a futuristic minigun that shoots plasma instead of normal bullets. The seven alien head symbols on the side are likely to represent kill counts. The Widowmaker is based on the Republic Space Rangers' plasma machine gun, which is a TV show inside the GTA World.

This weapon has extremely high damage. However, it cannot be customized.
