To celebrate the festive season of Diwali, Reliance Jio has decided to step into the Indian esports scenes with their first tournament, the JioMart Gameathon Free Fire. This is the first esports event ever to be held on the JioGames platform.
The tournament has a prize pool of Rs 25,000 and it is open for everyone to join. You can register for the tournament here through this link: play.jiogames.com/esports.
It will last for 3 days from October 30 to November 1. The whole tournament will be live-streamed on JioTV on the JioEsportsHD channel and on YouTube.
JioMart Gameathon Free Fire Format and Schedule
The tournament will have a total of 576 teams and 4 stages:
- Qualifier Stage - October 30 to 31 - 11:00 IST onward.
- Quarter-Finals - November 1 - 11:00 IST to 13:00 IST.
- Semi-Finals - November 1 - 13:00 IST to 16:00 IST.
- Grand Finale - November 1 - 17:00 IST to 20:00 IST.
The Qualifier Stage will have 576 teams, divided into 48 lobbies. Each lobby will play 1 match. The top 2 teams from each lobby will move on to the next round.
The Quarter Finals will have 96 teams, divided into 8 lobbies. Each lobby will play 1 match. The top 3 teams from each lobby will move on to the next round.
Semi-Finals will have 24 teams, divided into 2 lobbies. Each lobby will play 1 match. The top 6 teams from each lobby will move on to the next round.
The Grand Finale will have 12 teams. They will play a total of 3 matches.
