As the year is wrapping up, players are looking forward to what HoYoverse can offer in the new timeline, 2024. While the developers have teased the releases of 17 new characters, Genshin Impact players also highly anticipate the extension of the in-game map, new events and more. So what can we expect from Genshin Impact 2024 schedule?

Genshin Impact 2024: Natlan nation

When will Natlan be released in Genshin Impact? This question has been left unanswered for a while and some are still puzzled about it. Sources claimed that we may witness the introduction of it around August or September, the same as other nations in the game.

The buzz also hints that in the land of Pyro, dragons and humans cohabit possibly in harmony. Natlan's population is said to be organized into tribes. Players also anticipate more revelation of Murata Genshin Impact - the Pyro Archon. Is she alive? Will Murata be playable? Let's look forward to future updates.

Genshin Impact Lantern Rite and Liyue map extension in 2024

Genshin Impact's 4.4 update's release schedule is on January 31, 2024. HoYoverse hasn't officially confirmed the schedule. However, if past trends hold, maintenance should start at 6 am (UTC +8) and conclude at 11 am (UTC +8).

Version 4.4 will bring the Lantern Rite festival, aligning with the Lunar New Year. You can expect new "booth" style mini-games during the event. Lantern Rite takes place in Liyue, so a map extension connecting Fontaine and Mondstadt is also garnering talks.

Additionally, players can look forward to obtaining the recently revealed characters Cloud Retainer (Xianyun) and Gaming, set to make their debut during Lantern Rite.

Genshin Impact 2024 Golden Apple Archipelago

For Genshin Impact 2024 dates and schedule, fans are optimistic about the return of the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Speculations point towards a similar event unfolding in Fontaine this time around. If Sumeru was the starting location for Lantern Rite last time, anticipation is high for Fontaine to be the backdrop in the new season.

The characters engaging in the storyline add even more excitement. In previous seasons of Golden Apple Archipelago-themed events, we have witnessed the interactions of various units.

• Golden Apple Archipelago (1.6): Albedo, Barbara, Diluc, Jean, Kaeya, Klee, and Razor
• Golden Apple Archipelago (2.8): Fischl, Kazuha, Mona, and Xinyan
• Veluriyam Mirage/Bottleland (3.8): Collei, Eula, Kaeya, Klee, and Kokomi

Genshin Impact 2024 new characters

Players have noticed something interesting. When a character in the game looks different from before, there's a good chance they might become playable later on (except for Signora). It's not a strict rule, but players have been relying on this idea for a while.

Even if it takes some time, like with Wanderer and Baizhu, players enjoy the idea of saving up for a character who could go from just looking cool to being someone they can actually play in the game.

Recently, Cloud Retainer (Xianyun) is officially introduced to wield an Anemo vision, while Gaming has been confirmed as a Pyro vision user. Xianyun might bring some healing abilities to the table, though she doesn't seem to be a complete healer at this point.
