The Chasm is a new region in the West of Lisha region in Liyue that may come to the game in version 2.4.

I. When will The Chasm be released Genshin Impact?

The Chasm will be released in 2022. It's expected to be unlocked in February. So, you may have the chance to explore this new region in the second phase of Genshin Impact 2.4. The official release date of the Chasm has not been confirmed yet. But it will come to Teyvat soon.

This new region is located in the west of Lisha in Liyue. It will be a new area in this nation. But its climate will be totally different from the weather condition in Liyue. It's a black area and the original source of ores in Genshin Impact. According to the lore of the Chasm, this region was created by a falling star around 6,000 years ago.

II. What is in The Chasm Genshin Impact?

There is no information about the Chasm Genshin Impact and materials, monsters, and supplies in this new region yet. It looks like a big and deep hole. If Dragonspine is a snow-covered mountain rising in the south of Mondstadt, the Chasm is a big hole formed when a star fell on the Teyvat continent 6,000 years ago.

  • The Chasm is often covered by fog. Therefore, it often looks darker than the rest of Liyue. It's harder for the sunlight to go through the thick fog and reach this deep chasm like on the foggy Tsurumi island in Inazuma.

III. How to glide over The Chasm Genshin Impact?

The Chasm is a large hole under Liyue. It's lower than the ground of this nation. Therefore, you can glide down to the bottom of the chasm from the edge of the hole. But it's hard to glide from the other edge of the hole because our character will go downwards when gliding in this game. You cannot glide up in Genshin Impact without upwards wind currents and Anemo rings.

Players need to stand near the edge of the hole. Then, tap the jump button or press the Space key button to jump right after dropping your character from the high place. When you are gliding in the air, use the joystick button to glide straight ahead or turn left and right to reach the targeted location.

Besides, this region probably has some Teleport waypoints and Statues of Seven like other regions. So, you may use them to get to this place quickly.
