Clash Squad is a special mode in Free Fire, in which two teams are pitched against each other in a short battle inside a small area on the map. Because of this limitation, powerful skills in the normal battle royale mode are not nearly as strong in Clash Squad.
In this article, Gurugamer.com is going to showcase the top 5 best abilities to pick in Free Fire Clash Squad OB33.
Table of Contents
1. Alok
With Chrono's ability massively nerfed, Alok's Drop the Beat has risen to the top and become the best skill in the game, once again. It is still an all-rounder skill that any player could pick.
Drop the Beat's costless healing and speed are useful in both Battle Royale and Clash Squad. If you are having problems with picking an active ability, Alok is probably your best generic choice, as he won't clash with any builds.
2. Xayne
Xayne's ability is called Xtreme Encounter. At level 1, it gives the player 80HP and 40% increased damage to gloo walls and shields for 10 seconds, on a 150 seconds cooldown. You lose the bonus HP after the skill ends, but the damage is not lethal.
At max level, the bonus damage increases to 100%, and the cooldown reduces to 100 seconds. Overall, this ability is perfect for close to medium-range combat, especially if your enemies use Gloo Walls. You should be able to penetrate their cover easily to damage the foes hidden behind the barrier.
You might need to get away after the skill's duration is near its end, as the HP bonus is only temporary. It would be a problem if the buff goes away while you are fighting.
3. Clu
In normal BR mode, the map is so big that you probably won't be able to detect your foes even with Clu's ability. In Clash Squad, on the other hand, the play area is restricted to a much smaller zone. Because of that, one cast of Clu's skill is enough to detect the location of all enemies on the map - and we all know the advantage of map-hacking.
Clu's recent buff makes the skill even better in Clash Squad. Its radius gets increased by a whopping 50%, to 75 meters.
4. Dimitri
Healing Heartbeats creates a healing aura similar to Alok, however, it isn't as big and does not restore as much HP. At least the total HP restored is 45, a fairly respectable amount.
The best part of this skill is probably the "self-recover" ability that affects the user and all teammates in the area when downed. Overall, this ability is super useful in Clash Squad - if you get taken down next to a cover, you can just scuttle into it and get up by yourself. Rescuing teammates is much easier, as enemies will not be able to ambush you anymore. Just activate the skill and wait there looking out.
5. Wukong
Wukong the Monkey King is actually a pretty decent character in Clash Squad mode. His active ability Camouflage lets you turn into a bush, which lets you evade upcoming enemy fire and blend with the environment for ambushes.
This is a great counter-rush and escape tool. By turning into a bush before an enemy rush, it is very likely that they will run past you, leaving an open back for you to stab. You can perform this over and over again with the cooldown refresh after a kill.
6. Hayato Awaken
Even though Hayato Awaken is a free-to-play character, his ability is extremely useful in a fight. For each 10% HP he loses, he gains additional armor penetration as well as frontal damage reduction. This ability can throw off a lot of players, giving you the upper hand during critical moments.
