Gloo walls are probably the most important support/utility item in Free Fire. They are one of the few systems unique to Free Fire that other games do not have. Anyone can use Gloo Walls to create their own cover anytime, anywhere... and that might become a problem in later phases of the match.
Luckily, there are characters in Free Fire whose skills can deal with Gloo Walls. In this article, we are going to showcase Xayne vs Skyler vs Nairi to see which is the best character to counter Gloo Walls in Free Fire.
1. Xayne vs Skyler vs Nairi: Ability
Xayne
Xayne's Xtreme Encounter is an active ability that grants the user 80 HP temporarily, which gets removed over a 10-second duration. During the skill's effect, the user deals 100% extra damage to Gloo Walls and Shield. Xtreme Encounter has a 100 seconds cooldown at max level. Overall, this ability pretty much cannot be spammed at all.
Skyler
Skyler's ability is also an active skill, however, instead of buffing your own damage, it releases a wave that damages up to five Gloo Walls in a 100 meters radius. Additionally, whenever the player places a Gloo Wall, they would get an HP regeneration boost for short period.
This ability has a fairly low cooldown of 40 seconds, which means you can use it fairly often in every encounter.
Nairi
Nairi's ability is a passive skill called Ice Iron. It allows a player's deployed Gloo walls to heal 30% of its durability every second. Additionally, players with this skill will do 30% increased damage to Gloo walls with assault rifles.
2. Xayne vs Skyler vs Nairi: Combat
Due to his skill being passive, players can combo Nairi alongside other useful active abilities, which is a huge plus. Xayne or Skyler's abilities are active skills and cannot stack.
Xayne's ability is pretty much a version of A124's skill with a damage boost to Gloo Walls slapped on top. Overall, the extra HP is super useful in a gunfight, and the double damage on Gloo walls definitely allows players to fight and destroy walls much easier. However, the long cooldown of Xayne's skill is a huge weakness - it is 2.5 times longer than Skyler's, even at the max level.
Lastly, Skyler is probably the easiest skill to use amongst the three. With its low cooldown, you can just spam the ability every time you see a Gloo wall to take it down with your gunfire right afterward. The regeneration bonus is just the cherry on top.
3. Verdict
Overall, while Xayne, Skyler, and Nairi have very similar abilities, Skyler is still the best at destroying Gloo Walls. You don't have to waste your bullets and the skill can even damage multiple walls. Nairi is the weakest of the trio, however, his skill has an extra effect and is a much more flexible passive.
This results in Xayne being the weakest character of the trio. Her long cooldown is just too much of a detriment to her usefulness. The final result is Skyler > Nairi > Xayne.
