Genshin Impact Agents: Farming Locations, Material Drops & How To Defeat

Genshin Impact Agents are normal bosses in Teyvat. These bosses will drop many essential materials for weapon accession and talent level up in this game. You also need to defeat these bosses to complete some temple and domain challenges. Let's check out their locations on the map and how to defeat these Agents here.

I. Genshin Impact Agent Locations

Fatui Pyro Agents in Genshin Impact are Elite enemies in Liyue, Mondstadt, and Inazuma, but they don't appear inside the snow land of Dragonspine. They often appear alone in many places in Mondstadt and around the border of Dragonspine, including:

• In the South of Mondstadt: near the Teleport Waypoint at the northern entrance of Dragonspine.
• In Mingyun Village: nearby the Teleport Waypoint in this village. You can easily spot him under the tree when getting closer.
• Yoanguang Shoal: under the tree that can be spotted easily. There are very few trees around this location. So, you can easily find the enemy when getting here.

Genshin Impact players will find more Fatui Pyro Agents around Liyue. Keep in mind that these agents often spawn near Teleport Waypoints. Some locations in Liyue where you can find these enemies are:

• Luhua Pool's eastern waypoint;
• The Northeast of Dunyu Ruins;
• The north side of the Teleport Waypoint in Lingju Pass;
• Near the southern waypoint in Tianqiu Valley;
• In the South of Lisha's River;
• On the westmost isle in Guyun Stone Forest.

After Inazuma is released, Genshin Impact players can also find an agent in the northern cliff of Narukami Island and three agents in the center of Kannazuka Island.

II. Genshin Impact Agents Sacrificial Knife

Agents are Elite enemies with knife mastery skills. They have dangerous knife attacks. These bosses drop a lot of essential materials for weapon enhancements and character level-up. The dropped materials will be affected by the level of the enemies. For example:

• Hunter’s Sacrificial Knife is dropped by normal agents.
• Agent’s Sacrificial Knife is dropped by Lv.40+ Fatui Agents.
• Inspector's Sacrificial Knife is dropped by Lv.60+ Fatui Agents.

These Sacrificial Knives are very essential for weapon ascension. There are up to fifteen Genshin Impact weapons that require these materials. Apart from these knives, there are many materials to farm by defeating these agents, such as:

• Mora;
• Character EXP;
• Artifact sets, including Traveling Doctor, Berserker, Instructor, and The Exile;
• Recruit's Insignia, Sergeant's Insignia, and Lieutenant's Insignia.

These boss drops are very essential for ascending and upgrading your characters. For example, you need Insignia sets to ascend four characters now, including Diluc, Ningguang, Childe, and Rosaria. Besides, those artifact sets also make those characters stronger.

III. Guide For Genshin Agent Farm

It's not hard to defeat Genshin Impact agents. However, you need strategies to take them down rapidly and effectively. First of all, you need to understand all attack patterns of this Elite enemy.

Agent's Attack Patterns

The agent is one of the most dangerous and annoying bosses in Genshin Impact due to his two major abilities and attacks.

• Spinning Knife Guard: This enemy can spin three Pyro knives rapidly in a wide circle around him to prevent your characters from approaching and melee attacking him.
• Invisibility: During this phase, agents will become invisible and release sudden Shadow Strikes to attack players. During this phase, you cannot see his whole body.

Moreover, he is also very dangerous with powerful slashes in melee combat. Besides, agents can also create their clones to make players confused.

Tips To Defeat Agents

Since this boss is dangerous and annoying, you need some tips and tricks to finish Fatui Agents quickly and safely. Don't let all your character down before the enemy is downed.

• Use appropriate elements to deal damage to the enemy. He is only affected by Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, and Electro elements.
• Freeze agents with Frozen Reactions to make them visible.
• Next, use AoE attacks to deal more damage to agents, such as the Charged Attack and Elemental Burst of Noelle.
• Then, use heavy attacks to knock or interrupt agents in their knife snipping phases.

This Fatui boss does not have any shield. Therefore, they are vulnerable to physical attacks. So, you can use some DPS characters and supporters with strong physical attacks to defeat him without having to break any shield.

Best Teams To Counter Agents

Since agents have an invisible phase, you can freeze these enemies and make them visible. Here are some highly recommended characters to build the best team for agent countering.

• Kamisato Ayaka: main DPS;
• Mona: Hydro supporter;
• Noelle: shield maker;
• Kazuha: Anemo sub-DPS.

The combination of Mona and Ayaka's bursts can freeze the agent in their invisibility phase. Besides, Kazuha's skill can stun this boss for a while. Then, use Noelle's charged attack to deal huge damage to the boss.
