The casters announced the fifth major tournament for Free Fire India this year right after the end of FFCO's main event. The upcoming Fall Split will be the second half of the Free Fire India Championship this year, with another Grand Finals at the end of the period. 2 - Format of FFIC
FFIC Mode Qualifiers
In this online qualifier, the best 5 of 8 matches are considered and points are awarded accordingly. The top 48 teams with the highest results proceed to Closed Qualifiers.
Closed Qualifiers
Besides the top 48 of FFIC Mode Qualifiers, the 7th-12th of the last season, Pro League 2021 Summer, will participate. They are exempt from having to play in the Online Qualifier. The top 12 will proceed to League Stages.
League Circuit
This will be the most competitive round of the tournament, with the top 6 of Pro League 2021 Summer and the previous top 12 of Closed Qualifiers participate in 3 weeks of League Play. All groups will play 12 matches. The top 12 teams will proceed to the Grand Finals.
Grand Finals
The teams in the grand finals get headstart points based on their League Circuit placements. They will play 6 matches to find the champion. All teams will qualify for Pro League 2021 Winter.
3 - Notable Teams
The previous season, the Spring Split, was won by Galaxy Racer Esports. Team Chaos secured the 2nd spot while Team Elite finished 3rd. All three teams qualified for the previous Free Fire World Series in Singapore but they can't participate due to the Covid travel restriction. These three teams will definitely aim to replicate their success last season.
Recent FFCO Champion team Captains will be a noteworthy candidate in FFIC, if they decide to participate. Total Gaming, who recently became Free Fire Pro League summer 2021 champion, is also a squad to look out for. They were the champion of the FFIC last year, represented India in the Free Fire Asia Continental Series. Overall, the esports scene of Free Fire India has been really competitive, without any team manage to dominate outright.
