While Minecraft is overall an easy game, there are still some hard monsters that require you to put some actual work into defeating. In this article, we are going to list out the top 5 hardest monsters in Minecraft. For the most dangerous non-boss enemies in the game, please refer to our previous post.
Hardest Monsters in Minecraft
5 - Piglin Brutes
These mobs come in packs and can quickly overwhelm players with numbers and either beat them to death or knock them into lava. They spawn in the Nether and each one of them can pack a serious punch. On Java Edition's hard difficulty, a Piglin Brute can deal 9.5 hearts per hit. This goes down a little in Bedrock, with a hit only taking 7.75 hearts.
Each Piglin Brute has a whopping 25 hearts - you pretty much can't one-shot them. Combining this with the hazardous environment that they often appear in and you would have a challenging fight.
4 - Iron Golems
Iron Golems are guardians that protect players and villagers. They can deal up to 16 hearts worth of damage per hit on hard difficulty. Furthermore, Iron Golems also comes with double the hearts of a Piglin Brute - 50 per unit. Unless you know what you are doing, it is not a good idea to fight these monsters.

3 - Ravagers
Ravagers are giant bovine mobs that can kill even Iron Golems during raids. These beasts have 50 hearts worth of HP and can deal up to 9 damage on each hit. While the damage is not as high as an Iron Golem, the Ravagers are much faster and more aggressive. They can also carry dangerous Evokers on top of them as well.
If there is an Evoker riding on top, you need to take down it first, as soon as possible.
2 - The Wither
The Wither is one of the two bosses in Minecraft and is the second most dangerous monster in the game. It has a health pool of 150 on Java and 300 on Bedrock Edition. Even in easy mode, the Wither can easily demolish a prepared player if he is not careful.
The Wither's main attack shoots explosive skulls that blow up both the player and the landscapes. Players should prepare as much as possible when summoning a Wither.
1 - Ender Dragon
The Ender Dragon is the final boss of Minecraft and players need to beat it in order to win the game. While it doesn't have as much health as the Wither, the Ender Dragon is much more unpredictable. It has multiple attacks with varying levels of damage - you need to watch out for its melee strikes, wings, breath, and fireball attacks.
The dragon can also heal itself until all the end crystals are destroyed. You must focus on breaking these crystals first before facing the Ender Dragon properly.
