Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch due to his god-like skill in FPS games. Apart from that, he also has a very calm, chill personality, unlike other streamers like Ninja, who is always raging over small matters. Even when he was streamer sniped, he didn't have any hard feeling at all and even tried to have fun instead. However, this time, he was so discontent that he even banned a subscriber from his chat.
While Twitch is mostly a game streaming platform, streamers can choose to talk and interact with their audiences instead. As for shroud, if you watch his stream often, you will see that he sometime will just open a Youtube video to watch with chat, or just talk about the recent events and incidents on the internet. Especially, during this period, shroud is still looking for a game which he would stick with in the long-term after he got bored with battle royale games like PUGB or Fornite.
Of course, some viewers didn't like it at all because they just want him to slay people in games, not talking. One of those viewers even expresses their frustration on the chat, telling shroud “Do your job and play a game.” Shroud was extremely surprised and banned them immediately, even though they was a subscriber.
Usually, if someone pays the money, they have the right to demand what they want. However, this is not the case in the streaming world. Streamers have the full control of their contents and audiences, and viewers will support them with their money if they want to, not the other way around.
Streamers need to have freedom to create more creative content instead of just doing what the viewers want. While shroud normally has a great relationship with his viewers, he understands this matter and won't let a few people ruin his streams or other viewers' experience in the chat.
