Best Swords In Genshin Impact 2021 Tier List & Characters Who Should Use Them

Genshin Impact is one of the best free ARPG released for mobile to date, with a complex weapon system and build. Amongst the weapon classes in the game, the Sword is the most balanced in power, speed and range, with sword users being jacks of all trades. In this article, we are going to showcase the best swords in Genshin Impact tier list 2021 ranked. Low tier weapon are skipped in this list.

1. Summit Shaper

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 46 - 608
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): ATK + 10.8% - 49.6%

Increases Shield Strength by 20 - 40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4 - 8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, the ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

The Summit Shaper is often considered the strongest sword in Genshin Impact. It has the ATK% sub stat, the best option for DPS characters. Its skill further increases ATK, with the maximum bonus being 40% for 5 stacks.

However, the broken part about Summit Shaper is that its attack boost effect gets doubled if your character is protected by a shield, which boosts it to 80%, an absurd number. Keqing and Ayaka benefit the most from this.

The added shield bonus is very beneficial if you run shield support like Zhongli or Noelle.

2. Mistsplitter Reforged

The Mistsplitter Reforged has bonuses for Elemental Damage, and because of that, it would be amazing on any characters who can infuse their normal attacks with elements. It is fairly easy to gain Mistsplitter's Emblem stacks - you only need to deal elemental damage with your normal attack then fire your Burst to gain the other two stacks.

The best characters to use the Mistsplitter Reforged are Keqing, Kazuha, Ayaka, Traveler and Bennett.

3. Aquila Favonia

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 48 - 674
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): Physical DMG Bonus + 9% - 41.3%

Increases ATK by 20 - 40%. Upon taking damage, trigger an effect that regenerates HP equal to 100 - 160% of ATK and deals 200 - 320% of ATK as DMG to surrounding enemies. Cooldown 15s.

Overall, the Aquila Favonia is a great sword for any Physical DPS character. Its high stats are best for Keqing, who can make use of that to deal absurd Physical DPS. The healing passive is fairly useful to regain HP, especially if you don't run a healer. Jean and Qiqi also benefit from this weapon.

4. Primordial Jade Cutter

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 44 - 542
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): CRIT Rate + 9.6% - 44.1%

HP increased by 20 - 40%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2 - 2.4% of the wielder's Max HP.

The Primordial Jade Cutter works similarly to the Staff of Homa, with a passive that increases HP and another passive that increases damage based on HP levels. The crit rate secondary stat works pretty well on a sword, which allows players to dish out some absurd damage.

Overall, this is the most versatile end game sword in Genshin and can be used by pretty much all characters.

5. Freedom-Sworn

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 46 - 608
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): Elemental Mastery + 43 - 198

Increases DMG by 10 - 20%. When characters with Freedom-Sworn trigger Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion (once every 0.5s). This effect triggers even if you switch the character out.

When you reach 2 sigils, the stack will be consumed to give all nearby party members +20 - 32% ATK and +16 - 40% DMG for all normal attacks for 12s. This effect has a 20s CD.

Freedom-Sworn is a pure support weapon designed for sub DPS and Support characters. It is the weakest 5 star sword overall, with only Albedo having the ability to use it effectively. The buff also has an 8 seconds downtime, which severely hampers your DPS.

6. Sacrificial Sword

• Base ATK (Lv. 1 - 90): 41 - 454
• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): Energy Recharge + 13.3% - 61.3%

After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40 - 80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30 - 16s.

Sacrificial Sword is a great weapon for characters who relies on their Elemental skill. Best used on Xingqiu - the ability to reset his E provides a massive increase in both damage and energy gain This, in turn, increases his damage output further and lets him charge his burst even faster. Qiqi can use it for the extra heal.

8. Favonius Sword

• 2nd Stat (Lv. 1 - 90): Energy Recharge + 13.3% - 61.3%

CRIT hits have a 60 - 100% chance to generate a small number of Elemental Particles, regenerating 6 Energy for the character. CD 12 - 6s.

In comparison with Sacrificial, Favonius is more favorable for energy build-up regardless of the team's elemental type because it provides global energy orbs. Sacrificial, on the other hand, is based on the users' personal energy drop and elemental type. Best used on Traveller, Bennett and Qiqi.
